This is an introductory marketing course. A realistic examination of how marketing is practised in Canada today will be stressed throughout. The course will also translate basic marketing fundamentals into the specific area of golf management. The basic approach of the course is one that teaches marketing as a total system of business actions as opposed to an assortment of fragmented activities. The course assumes the viewpoint of marketing management within the scope of an individual business. Students should understand the basic principles of marketing and how they apply to generating profitable business growth while providing benefits to customers.
