Susan Kelsall is Professor of Finance and Program Coordinator, Business Administration and Business Management Diploma programs in The Business School at Humber's Lakeshore Campus. Susan has been teaching accounting, management and finance courses at Humber College part-time since 2003 and full-time since 2007. She has also taught for the School of Accounting and Finance at Seneca College at both the diploma and post-graduate certificate levels.
The Business Administration diploma is an advanced diploma which provides students with the ability to specialize in one of a number of areas in their final year. At Lakeshore campus, the Business Administration diploma is also offered as a Co-op option whereby students have the opportunity during two summer co-op placements to apply and hone their business administration skills.
The Business Management diploma is a two-year diploma with an entrepreneurial focus which provides students with the necessary skills for employment or for successfully running their own business.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Laws, magna cum laude, from University of Ottawa and a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She is also a professional Chartered Accountant (Ont.) and a Certified Financial Planner. Susan has many years of business advisory experience with a major public CA firm and in operating a professional CA practice specializing in taxation, transition and financial planning for individuals and small business. The focus of Susan's graduate research was on the relationships between culture, structure, leadership and strategy in a public educational organization.
