Bill Sowinski has worked in corporate management for many years and has traveled globally for his work. He has also been an instructor for over 25 years, with an extensive background in technology (hardware and software), e-learning and business, marketing, systems management, and consulting. If that’s not enough, he also participates in a number of organizations and associations for the advancement of technology, job creation, and employment with persons with disabilities. He has had the pleasure of instructing new Canadians, hundreds of temporary employees, college kids, professionals, persons with disabilities, members of the Aboriginal community and Youth at Risk.
For Bill, the core of teaching involves facilitating and motivating students who have a desire to learn. He enjoys researching and developing new teaching methods (classroom and e-learning).
When he’s not teaching and working, Bill keeps busy with two dynamic teenage kids who have busy lives of their own ("Dad, can you give me a lift…?"). He loves to swim, play golf, and read (mostly tech stuff). He has been involved in music for 40+ years, playing guitar, teaching himself keyboards, and attending Humber jazz concerts.
Bill has the last word, when he says “Humber has an outstanding reputation in the community and I’m glad I am part of it."
